Mt Baker Family Session | Southern Pines, NC Wedding and Family Photographer
I have been photographing the Harbin family for about 4 years now! We were all stationed in Hawaii together, and were lucky to both end up here in Oak Harbor on beautiful Whidbey Island together to continue our friendship. When Katy told me they were looking for some updated family portraits I immediately asked if they were up for some adventure. Sure enough the Harbins’ were on board! We decided on Mt Baker in Snoqualmie National Forest for some epic PNW views! The day of the session weather was not on our side, but The Harbins’ were still up for some adventure. It is about a 3 hour drive with kiddos in the car so we decided to meet up for some delicious pizza in Deming, WA at North Fork Brewery for some fuel before the session. If you’re ever in the area it was worth the stop! After dinner we headed up the mountain. My initial goal was to photograph them up at Artist point and the visitor center, but the visibility was too low and we couldn’t see more than 20 feet in front of us. Luckily picture Lake was as gorgeous as ever and the low clouds added some drastic flair to their PNW session! I was bummed about not going to the top, but was really happy with how their adventure session turned out! PS if you are wondering how this family is looking for well put together Katy Harbin is phenomenal at color design and is actually starting color consulting business called KH Color Designs!
